GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have reassigned right wing Tim Jackman to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes’ top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Jackman, 24, has played eight games with the Coyotes this season. The Minot, North Dakota native, who was recalled from San Antonio on Dec. 21, has not figured in scoring and has registered 21 penalty minutes (PIM) with the Coyotes. In 27 contests with the Rampage this season, Jackman has recorded 2-5-7 and 84 PIM.
The Coyotes acquired the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Jackman along with Geoff Sanderson from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jason Chimera, Cale Hulse, and Mike Rupp on Oct. 8, 2005.
Nash Activated from IR: Barnett also announced that left wing Tyson Nash has been activated from Injured Reserve by the Coyotes and will be available to play in tonight’s game at Buffalo. Nash has missed the last 16 games due to an abdominal injury. Nash has registered 0-3-3 and 48 PIM in 18 games this season.
