Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, 2005

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that Coyotes center Jamie Lundmark has agreed to a voluntary assignment for conditioning purposes to the San Antonio Rampage – the Coyotes’ top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

The 24-year-old Lundmark has played in 5 games this season with the Coyotes and New York Rangers, collecting 1 goal and 6 penalty minutes (PIM). Since the Coyotes acquired Lundmark on Oct. 18 from the Rangers in exchange for center Jeff Taffe, he has played in 2 games with Phoenix.

The native of Edmonton, Alberta was chosen by the Rangers with the ninth overall selection during the first round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. Now in his third NHL season, Lundmark has recorded 11-19-30 and 54 PIM in 116 games during his career.

Lundmark split the 2004-05 season between Hartford of the AHL and HC Bolzano in Italy. The 6-foot, 200-pound forward collected 14-27-41 and 146 PIM in 64 regular season games with Hartford last season. Lundmark recorded 2-4-6 in six postseason games to tie for second on the team in playoff scoring. He also registered 9-9-18 in 14 games with HC Bolzano before joining Hartford last season.
