Thrashers' Sutton Suspended for Four Games

Toronto, ON - Atlanta Thrashers defenseman Andy Sutton has been suspended for four games, without pay, as a result of being assessed a match penalty during NHL game #67 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 14, 2005.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Sutton will forfeit $38,775.52. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
Sutton was assessed a match penalty for delivering a blow to the head of Toronto player Darcy Tucker at 9:57 of the third period.
Sutton will miss tonight’s game in New York against the Rangers, Oct. 20 against Tampa Bay, Oct. 22 against New Jersey and Oct. 25 at New York Islanders. He will be eligible to return Oct. 27 at Pittsburgh..
