Mighty Ducks Agree to Terms with Craig Adams

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with right wing Craig Adams.

Adams, 28 (4/26/77), played 30 games for Milan of the Italian League last season, scoring 15-14=29 points with 57 penalty minutes (PIM). In 15 playoff games, he posted 4-7=11 points with 26 PIM. Adams played 80 games for Carolina in 2003-04, scoring 7-10=17 points with 69 PIM.

A native of Seria, Brunei, he played 81 games for Carolina, recording 6-12=18 points with 71 PIM in 2002-03. Adams split the 2001-02 season between Carolina and their American Hockey League affiliate, Lowell. With Carolina, he recorded one assist in 33 games with 38 PIM. In 22 games with Lowell, he posted 5-4=9 points with 51 PIM.

Adams made his NHL debut in 2000-01 with Carolina, recording one assist with 20 PIM in 44 games played. In four games with Cincinnati of the International Hockey League that season, he collected one assist and nine penalty minutes.

In 238 career NHL games, Adams has recorded 14-23=37 points with 198 PIM. He was originally drafted by Hartford in the ninth round (223rd overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
