Canucks Sign Josh Green

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have signed free agent forward Josh Green.
Green, 27, spent the 2004-05 season as a member of Vancouver’s AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose. While playing in Winnipeg, Green tallied 40 points (21-19-40) in 67 regular season games. In the post-season, Green played in 14 games, scoring nine goals and five assists for a total of 14 points.
This 6’3", 215 pound left wing has seen time with six NHL teams (Los Angeles, New York Islanders, Edmonton, New York Rangers, Washington, and Calgary), prior to joining the Vancouver Canucks. During his NHL career, Green has amassed 61 points (29-32-61) and 154 penalty minutes in 232 games played. Green was originally selected in the second round, 30th overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. Green was born in Camrose, Alberta.
