The native of Jihlava, Czech Republic, ranked second on the Rangers with 25 goals, 31 assists and 56 points in 2003-04, marking the sixth time in his NHL career that he's reached at least 50 points. Holik also ranked second on New York with career-high tying eight power-play goals, four game-winning goals and 225 shots. Of Holik's 281 career goals, 64 have come on the power play and 53 have been game-winners.

Holik, 34, has tallied 20 or more goals nine times during his NHL career that began with Hartford in 1990. He set career bests with 29 goals, eight game-winning tallies and 65 points in 1997-98, notched a career-high 39 assists in 1996-97, and tied his career high with eight game-winning goals in 1998-99, all with New Jersey.

Since 1996-97, Holik has skated in at least 80 games on five occasions, including career best 82 games with New Jersey in 1996-97 and 1997-98, and the Rangers in 2003-04. Holik has played in 70 or more contests in 10 out of 14 seasons.

Prior to joining the Whalers, Holik played three seasons with Dukla Jihlava of the Czech Republic Extraleague, notching 62 points (27 goals, 42 assists) in 97 games. Holik, selected in the first round by Hartford, 10th overall, in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft, was acquired by New Jersey with Hartford's second-round selection (Jay Pandolfo) in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft for Sean Burke and Eric Weinrich on Aug. 28, 1992. He signed with the Rangers as a free agent on July 1, 2002.
