Anaheim Acquires Moen From Chicago for Holmqvist

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired left wing Travis Moen from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for right wing Michael Holmqvist.
The 6-2, 210-pound Moen played 79 games with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL) last season and recorded 8-12=20 points with 187 penalty minutes (PIM). The Stewart Valley, Sask., native established professional single-season career highs in goals, assists and points last season. In 6 Calder Cup playoff games, he posted 0-1=1 points with 8 PIM.
In 2003-04, Moen made his NHL debut playing in all 82 regular season games, recording 4-2=6 points with 142 PIM.
Moen, 23, (4/6/82) was originally drafted by Calgary in the fifth round (155th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft before signing with Chicago as a free agent on Oct. 21, 2001.
