Toledo Walleye Sign A.J. Jenks

Toledo, OH - Forward A.J. Jenks has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2014-15 season.

Jenks, a native of Wolverine Lake, Michigan, appeared in 41 games last season in Florida where he posted 35 points (18G, 17A). Since 2009, the 23-year-old has appeared in 68 total ECHL games between Florida, Cincinnati and Charlotte with 44 points (22G, 22A). The former fourth-round pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft has also collected 38 points (15G, 23A) in 151 games played in the AHL between Rochester, San Antonio and Charlotte.

Prior to turning professional, Jenks spent four years with Plymouth of the OHL. He had 193 points (79G, 114A) over 249 games with the Whalers. He set career highs in assists (40) and points (63) in 2009-10 while being a captain for the Whalers.
