EIHL Suspends Kevin Harvey One Game for Misconduct Accumulation

Coventry Blaze forward Kevin Harvey will be banned for one match following his sixth misconduct penalty (playing) of the 2013-14 season.

Harvey was assessed a 2+10 checking-to-the-head penalty in the third period (46:58) of his side's game at Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday 5th January 2014.

His six penalties are as follows:

1st - 06/10/13 v Nottingham - 2+5+10 Instigator+Fighting+Misconduct-Playing
2nd - 12/10/13 v Nottingham Misconduct-Playing
3rd - 26/10/13 v Nottingham Misconduct-Playing
4th - 30/11/13 v Fife - 2+10 Checking from Behind+Misconduct-Playing
5th - 31/12/13 v Nottingham Misconduct-Playing
6th - 05/01/14 v Edinburgh - 2+10 Checking to the Head+Misconduct-Playing

As per EIHL suspension tariffs, Harvey is automatically suspended for the next match and also receives a fine.

Harvey will be suspended for Coventry's match at Sheffield Steelers on Saturday 11th January 2014.

For every further misconduct (playing) he receives, the head of discipline will automatically review the penalty and further sanctions may be imposed.

For every third misconduct offence (playing), Harvey will have an automatic minimum one-match suspension and further fine.
