Canucks Claim Tom Sestito off Waivers from Flyers; Assign Andrew Ebbett to AHL

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President & General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have claimed left wing Tom Sestito off of waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers. Andrew Ebbett was re-assigned to the Chicago Wolves.
Sestito, 25, appeared in seven games, collecting two goals, including one game-winner, and 12 penalty minutes with the Philadelphia Flyers this season. He also played one game, recording two penalty minutes, with the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL. The Rome, New York native has collected seven career points (4-3-7) in 34 NHL games played with the Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The 6’5”, 228-pound forward was originally selected in the third round, 85th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
