Panthers Re-Sign Keaton Ellerby

SUNRISE – Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with D Keaton Ellerby on a one-year contract extension.
“Keaton is a young, mobile, hard working defenseman that continues to grow and develop,” said Tallon. “We look forward to his continued contributions to our team both on and off the ice.”
Ellerby, 23, has played in 116 National Hockey League games for Florida registering 17 points (2-15-17) and 34 PIM. The 6-foot-4, 217-pound defenseman played in 40 games with the Panthers during the 2011-12 regular season, recording five assists and 10 PIM. Ellerby also made his NHL playoff debut in Game 4 against the New Jersey Devils.
The Strathmore, AB native was Florida’s first round pick (10th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
