Canucks Call Up Byron Bitz

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that forward Byron Bitz has been recalled from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Bitz, 27, has played 10 games with the Wolves this season recording three points (1-2-3) and nine penalty minutes. In 87 career NHL games the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native has scored nine goals, nine assists (9-9-18) and logged 51 penalty minutes. Bitz has also played five career playoff games recording two points (1-1-2) and two penalty minutes.
Originally selected 107th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by Boston, the 6’4", 215-pound forward signed with Vancouver on July 25, 2011.
