Oilers Recall Forward Philippe Cornet

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled left-winger Philippe Cornet from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
Cornet, 21, has 27 points (20G, 7A) in 38 games this season with the Barons. He leads the team in goals and is tied for the league lead in game winners with 6.
The 6’0”, 196-pound Val-Senneville, QC native is in his second season with the Barons and was named a Western Conference AHL All-Star this year. In 98 games with Oklahoma City he has 50 points (27G, 23A).
Cornet was selected by Edmonton in the 5th round, 133rd overall, at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
