Friday, Oct. 28th, 2011

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wings Patrick Maroon and Jean-Francois Jacques to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Maroon, 23 (4/23/88), went scoreless with two penalty minutes (PIM) in two games with the Ducks. He recorded 15:19 time-on-ice (TOI) in his NHL debut on Oct. 25 at Chicago and also appeared in Anaheim’s 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild last night at Xcel Energy Center. Acquired from Philadelphia with David Laliberte in exchange for Danny Syvret and Rob Bordson on Nov. 21, 2010, Maroon has collected 4-4=8 points with a +6 rating and 15 PIM in six games with Syracuse this season.

Jacques, 26 (4/29/85), has appeared in five contests with Syracuse this season, collecting 2-2=4 points with a +2 rating and two penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-4, 220-pound winger scored a season-high 2-1=3 points in his most recent game, a 7-0 Syracuse victory on Oct. 26 at Lake Erie. Signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 6, Jacques was originally assigned to the Crunch on Sept. 29.
