Canucks Assign Nolan Baumgartner to Chicago

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned defenceman Nolan Baumgartner to the AHL Chicago Wolves.
Baumgartner, 35, spent the 2010/11 season with the Manitoba Moose, collecting 29 points (4-25-29) in 66 games. The Calgary, Alberta native has appeared in 143 career NHL games, recording 49 points (7-40-47) and 69 penalty minutes.
The 6’2”, 197-pound defenceman was originally drafted tenth overall by Washington in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.
