Leafs Ink Forward Phillipe Dupuis

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Thursday that the hockey club has signed forward Philippe Dupuis to a one-year contract.
Dupuis, 26, played his first full NHL season with the Colorado Avalanche in 2010-11. In 74 games, the 6-0, 196-pound forward registered six goals, 11 assists and 17 points, along with 40 penalty minutes. He ranked second among Avalanche rookies in points and second among forwards in hits (128). In 86 career NHL games, all with Colorado, he has earned 18 points on six goals and 12 assists with 46 minutes in penalties. The Laval, Quebec native was Columbus’ fifth choice, selected 104th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
