Peckham Inks One-Year Deal With Oilers

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have re-signed defenceman Theo Peckham to a one-year contract.
Peckham, 23, played 71 games last season with the Oilers scoring three goals and adding 10 assists along with 198 penalty minutes, which was third highest in the NHL.
The 6’2”, 235-pound rearguard has played in 102 career NHL games collecting 14 points (3G, 11A) and 302 penalty minutes.
Peckham, who is from Richmond Hill, Ontario, was drafted by the Oilers in the 3rd round, 75th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, after three seasons with the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League where he had 618 PIM in 181 games.
