Capitals Sign Goaltender Brandon Anderson

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have signed free agent goaltender Brandon Anderson to a three-year entry-level contract, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.
Anderson, 18, is a 6’0”, 176-pound native of Langley, British Columbia, who currently plays for the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Anderson finished his rookie season with a 12-19-1-1 record, a 3.49 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage in 37 games. Anderson recently took part in Capitals rookie camp and appeared in the team’s win against the Philadelphia Flyers’ rookies on Sept. 16. He participated in the first day of the team’s main training camp before returning to Lethbridge.
