General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with centre Gilbert Brule on a two-year contract.
Brule, 23, had 37 points (17G, 20A) in 65 games with the Oilers. He finished fourth in team scoring, second in goals and tied for first in game-wining goals with three.
“Gilbert made a big step last year in his development,” said Tambellini. “We are excited to have him here in Edmonton and look forward to his continued contribution to the team.”

The 5’10”, 180lbs centre was originally drafted by Columbus in the 1st round, 6th overall in 2005 after two solid seasons with the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League, where he put up 185 points (87G, 98A) in 165 games.
