Canucks Sign Mason Raymond

Vancouver, BC - Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have re-signed forward Mason Raymond to a two-year deal.

Raymond, 24, registered 53 points (25-28-53) in 82 games with Vancouver this season. He tied for second on the team in power play goals (8) and established career highs in all offensive categories.

In 203 NHL contests with Vancouver, he has recorded 97 points (45-52-97) and 74 penalty minutes.

The Cochrane, AB native was awarded the Canucks 2010 Fred J. Hume Award (Unsung Hero) as voted by the Canucks Booster Club and appeared in three games, recording one assist for Team Canada at the 2010 World Hockey Championships.

The 6-foot, 185 lbs. forward was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks, 51st overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
