Oilers Sign Steve MacIntyre

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with forward Steve MacIntyre on a one-year contract.
MacIntyre, 29, re-joins the organization after being picked up on waivers by the Florida Panthers at the beginning of last season.
The 6’5”, 250 lbs forward appeared in four games for the Oilers last season, prior to being picked up on waivers by the Panthers. He spent the remainder of the season in the Panthers organization, appearing in 18 games with Florida, collecting one assist and 17 penalty minutes. He also played in 34 games for the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans, where he posted two assists and 86 penalty minutes.
MacIntyre, who hails from Brock, Saskatchewan, started his NHL career with the Oilers in 2008-09, scoring his first NHL goal against the Washington Capitals on January 13, 2009.
