Oilers Recall Chris Minard on Emergency Basis

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have recalled forward Chris Minard on an emergency basis from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Minard, 28, has 25 points (15G, 10A) in 31 games this year with the Falcons. He will be playing in his first game as an Edmonton Oiler after signing with the club in the offseason.
The 6’1”, 200lb center spent the past couple of seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization splitting time in the NHL and with their AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
