D.J. King Assigned to Peoria for Conditioning

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Saturday the club has assigned left winger D.J. King to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen on a conditioning assignment.

King, 25, played in one game this season on Oct. 24 vs. Dallas, posting five penalty minutes. He has played in five games with the Rivermen, registering an assist and seven penalty minutes. The 6-3, 230-pound forward has skated in 90 National Hockey League games, all with the Blues, recording nine points (four goals, five assists) along with 157 penalty minutes.

The Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the sixth round, 190th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft
