Simmonds, Segal Activated From IR; Stoll Placed on IR

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have activated forwards Wayne Simmonds and Brandon Segal from the injured reserve list, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. In addition, the Kings have placed forward Jarret Stoll on the injured reserve list (retroactive to Dec. 15).
Simmonds, 21, was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury Dec. 16 (retroactive to Dec. 11) and has missed the last four games. In 33 games with the Kings this season, the 6-2, 183-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario has recorded 20 points (9-11=20). Last season in his rookie year Simmonds had 23 points (9-14=23) while playing in all 82 games (one of five Kings to play in every regular season game).
Segal, 26, was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury Dec. 8 (retroactive to Dec. 2) and has missed the last nine games. In four games with the Kings this season, the 6-2, 209-pound native of Richmond, British Columbia has recorded zero points and zero penalty minutes. Segal has also played in 21 games with the American Hockey League’s Manchester Monarchs this season, registering 14 points (6-8=14) and 34 penalty minutes.
Stoll, 27, suffered a lower-body injury during the Kings-Canucks game Dec. 14 and has missed the last two games. The 6-1, 215-pound native of Melville, Saskatchewan has recorded 25 points (10-15=25) and 22 penalty minutes in 33 games this season.
