Flames Ship Wayne Primeau to Toronto

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the acquisition of Toronto Maple Leafs forward Colin Stuart and defenseman Anton Stralman along with Toronto’s 7th round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for forward Wayne Primeau and Calgary’s 2nd round pick in 2011.
Stuart, a native of Rochester, Minnesota, was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 5th round (135th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He has accumulated eight goals and five assists along with 24 penalty minutes in 51 career NHL games. As a member of the Chicago Wolves, he won the 2008 Calder Cup American League Championship.
Stuart also played three years along side fellow Calgary Flame Curtis McElhinney at Colorado College from 2001-2004.
Stralman, a native of Tibro, Sweden, was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 7th round (216th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He has accumulated four goals and 18 assists along with 38 penalty minutes in 88 career NHL games.
