Avalanche Recall Per Ledin

Wednesday, Apr. 8th, 2009

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has recalled forward Per Ledin from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League.

Ledin, 30, ranks fifth on the Monsters in scoring with 23 points (11g/12a) in 58 games played. The Lulea, Sweden native has compiled 55 penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating in his first AHL season.

The 6-foot, 194-pound winger signed with the Avalanche on July 1, 2008 after spending most of his professional career in Sweden. He represented his country at the 2008 IIHF World Championship in Halifax/Quebec City, recording five points (0g/5a) in seven games.

If Ledin plays in any of the Avalanche’s three remaining games, he would become the 11th Colorado player to make his NHL debut this year.
