Blues Assign Stastny to Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Wednesday that the club has assigned forward Yan Stastny to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Stastny, 26, has played in 34 games this season with the Blues, registering seven points (three goals, four assists) along with 20 penalty minutes. He also recorded two goals and two penalty minutes in seven games with the Rivermen.
The Quebec City, Quebec native was originally Boston’s eighth round selection, 259th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
