Oilers Activate MacIntyre; Place Hemsky on IR

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have placed forward Ales Hemsky on the NHL Injured Reserve List and activated forward Steve MacIntyre from the IRL.
Hemsky has missed the Oilers’ last five games (December 30-January 7) after suffering a concussion in Edmonton’s game versus the Nashville Predators at Rexall Place on December 28th.
MacIntyre returns to the roster after missing 26 games (November 9-January 7) with a fractured orbital bone suffered on November 6th versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. Making his NHL debut with the Oilers at Anaheim on October 15th, MacIntyre was scoreless with 24 penalty minutes in 10 games before being injured.
