Stars Activate Ott and Lundqvist; Reassign Chris Conner

FRISCO, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has activated Joel Lundqvist and Steve Ott from the Injured Reserve List. The club also assigned Chris Conner to the Peoria Rivermen in the American Hockey League.
Lundqvist, 26, has missed the last 21 games with a shoulder injury, and prior to that, had earned one assist and two penalty minutes in nine games for Dallas.
The 6-1, 194-pound center has skated in 100 career NHL games, registering six goals and 15 assists for 21 points with 39 penalty minutes. He set new career highs last season in points (14), assists (11) and games played (55). In 25 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, he has recorded four goals and five assists for nine points. The native of Are, Sweden, was Dallas’ third-round selection (No. 68 overall) in the 2000 Entry Draft.
Ott, 26, has missed the last 11 games with a broken bone in his hand. In 14 games played this season, the 6-0, 195-pound center has earned two goals and four assists for six points with 51 penalty minutes.
A native of Summerside, P.E.I., Ott has skated in 287 career NHL games, posting 73 points (23 goals, 50 assists) and 594 penalty minutes. He set a new career high for goals last season (11) and tied his career high for points (22). In 34 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, he has notched five points (3 goals, 2 assists) and 32 PIM. Dallas’ first-round selection (No. 25 overall) in the 2000 Entry Draft, two of his three career goals in the playoffs have been game-winners.
Conner, 25, has collected five assists and two penalty minutes in 12 games with Dallas this season. Prior to his call-up from Peoria on Nov. 23, he had posted 10 goals and six assists for 16 points in 17 games for the Rivermen.
The native of Westland, Mich., has appeared in 45 career NHL games with the Stars, notching four goals and nine assists for 13 points with 12 penalty minutes. The 5-8, 180-pound left wing made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in Game Three of the Western Conference Finals vs. Detroit last spring.
