NHL Suspends Daniel Carcillo for Two Games

TORONTO – Phoenix Coyotes' left wing Daniel Carcillo has been suspended for two games, without pay, as a result of an altercation during NHL game #46 against the Chicago Blackhawks, October 15, the National Hockey League announced today.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Carcillo will forfeit $9,610.22. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
At 17:00 of the second period, Carcillo, who was on the players' bench, became involved with Blackhawks' player Ben Eager, who was on the ice.
Carcillo will miss tonight's game at Ottawa and Oct. 18 at Montreal. He will be eligible to return Oct. 23 against the Washington Capitals.
