Red Wings Sign Siarhei Kolasau to Entry-Level Deal

DETROIT -- Red Wings general manager Ken Holland announced today that the club has signed defenseman Siarhei Kolasau to a two-year entry level contract.
Kolasau (6’4” 187 lbs.) was drafted by the Red Wings in the fifth round (151st overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year old Belarus native spent the past two seasons with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the USHL. He finished the 2007-08 regular season with one goal and 10 assists for 11 points in 51 games played.
