Comments: Right off of the faceoff Dingman grabs Neil and starts unloading rights causing Neil to fall and turtle to the ice. The linesmen rush in and try to restrain Dingman who continues to try and get at Neil before finally skating away. Other Penalties: Dingman received an instigator and misconduct. Chris Neil did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: Vaclav Varada hits Ruslan Fedotenko from behind into the boards, causing a scrum. Chara grabs Lecavalier and pulls him away from the pile of players. Both players drop their gloves while holding on to each other and Lecavalier throws a right just as referee Kerry Fraser tries to separate the two. Fraser backs away, allowing Chara to throw three lefts just before Chara wrestles Lecavalier to the ice. Chara kneels over Lecavalier with his right hand cocked but Fraser quickly rushes in and stands over Lecavalier, pushing Chara away. Other Penalties: Vaclav Varada received a hooking and boarding; Pavel Kubina a double misconduct; Ruslan Fedotenko, Ryan Craig, Mike Fisher and Andrej Meszaros each received a misconduct.

Comments: While Zdeno Chara and Vincent Lecavalier dance, these two grab each other and drop the gloves. Pratt throws two rights to the back of Heatley's head while Heatley struggles to get free. Heatley attempts an overhand right, allowing Pratt to return fire and connect with a right that lands just below Heatley's visor. The two then exchange rights before they tire out and let referee Eric Furlatt come in.
