Shelley throws an overhand right as Roy attempts locked-out rights of his own. Roy tries to shake off his elbow pad before Shelley throws a right that hits Roy's back. Roy turns around and throws two rights to the back of Shelley's helmet before they lose balance and fall to the ice.

Comments: The two take the faceoff and then immediate shed their gloves before squaring off. Rupp grabs on and lands a right as Malone puts his head down. Rupp gets in two more rights to the side of Malone's helmet as Malone falls to the ice bringing Rupp along with him. Malone tries to throw a couple of rights through a linesman's arm while they are down on the ice.

Comments: Armstrong takes a run at Hainsey as Hainesy gives him an elbow in return before they drop the gloves. They wrestle along the boards until Hainsey gets free and throws three rights to the top of Armstrong's head. They come off the boards and wrestle some more as Armstrong briefly goes down to his knees and gets back up. Hainsey lands three more rights while Armstrong is bent over before Hainsey just pushes Armstrong to the ice and the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Armstrong received an elbowing; Hainsey a roughing.

Comments: Shortly after Armstrong and Hainsey drop the gloves, these two decide to have a scrap of their own. They wrestle along the boards as Roy gets loose and throws a right. Shelley then wrestles Roy to the ice and holds him there until the two return to their feet. Shelley connects with two rights as Roy throws two overhand rights that miss. They each attempt a locked-out right before Shelley comes over the top with a right that knocks Roy's helmet off. They fall to the ice again and the linesmen come in shortly after. Other Penalties: Each player received a game misconduct.

Hainsey gets back to his feet as Odelein throws three rights before Hainsey even has his gloves off. They wrestle around as Hainsey gets Odelein's jersey up and over his head. The linesmen intervene shortly after. Other Penalties: Odelein received an instigator and misconduct; Nikolai Zherdev an elbowing and holding; Sidney Crosby a holding.
