Comments: Fedoruk nails Nedved with a high hit, a shot apparently avenging an earlier big shot by Gauthier on Lupul. O'Donnell is right next to the hit and drops the gloves. They grab onto each other and nothing is thrown for a while. The linesmen look to get involved a couple of times, but the two move out of the way while still holding on tight. Finally, after a good 20 seconds, punches are thrown, but nothing of consequence. Each may have landed one before Fedoruk gets off two uppercuts, one landing, as the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: O'Donnell received an instigator and misconduct; Fedoruk an attempt to injure match penalty.

Comments: After the horn sounds to end the game Doan drops the gloves and throws 2-3 punches at Vishnevski, the last one connecting solidly and sending Vishnevski to his knees as Doan gets tackled by an official. Vishenvski is bloodied as he skates off. Other Penalties: Doan received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Vitaly Vishnevski did not receive a fighting major.
