Comments: Off of a faceoff, less than a minute into the first period, these two drop the gloves. After a moment of positioning, they start going toe-to-toe. They both throw 8-10 hard rights, most of them landing, until Boughner cleanly catches Odgers with a solid punch to the jaw, sending him down. Other Penalties: Brad May received a cross checking.

Comments: As play stops Kyte pushes Ray down in the corner. Ray gets up and the two immediately drop their gloves. Kyte gets the upperhand, throwing a series of wild rights that are mostly blocked by Ray's left arm as he is bent over. Ray then rights himself and unloads a vicious right that lands flush, sending Kyte to the ice. Ray stands over Kyte, motioning for him to "stay down." Meanwhile, Kyte does remain on the ice, clearly dazed from the impact.

Comments: After some chippy play, Barnaby skates over to have words with a Sharks' player. Jayson More intercepts him, drops his gloves, and pulls him from a developing scrum. More cocks his fist and holds up a second for Barnaby to drop his stick and gloves. When it becomes apparent that Barnaby won't do it, More throws five punches which hit Barnaby's back and shoulder as he is turning away to avoid the punches. After the referees break up the fight, More is irate and throws his helmet at Barnaby. Matt Barnaby did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: Mark Astley comes together with Nolan but a linesman intercedes. A small scrum develops around them, with Barnaby pushing Nolan away. Again a linesman is in between them, but they mutually decide to drop the gloves and are allowed to fight. They grab on and are in very tight, but still manage to throw several hard rights each that land to the side of the helmet. The two manage to separate and both start throwing wild rights, several of which look to land solidly. They again grab on and Barnaby throws an uppercut. Nolan responds with several hard over-the-top rights than hit the back of Matthew's head. Nolan at this point has come completely out of his jersey so Barnaby grabs on, and they each throw a few more hard shots to the side of one another's heads before succumbing to exhaustion. Other Penalties: Brad May received a slashing.
