Last season's Memorial Cup,because of the lockout, was by far the greatest hockey I have ever seen played. I have always preferred Junior Hockey over it's NHL counterpart. Just something about seeing kids playing for their future that is alot more enjoyable than seeing players playing for a paycheck. It seems once they start making money, their love of the game takes a back seat.I know they still love to play, but the paycheck takes priority it seems.

Was great to see Forsberg get the twig going and pot the trick against the B's. Just hope the groin injury isn't that bad and they just rested him for precautionary reasons.

edit: now I see they changed a goal and it was only a deuce he got. They announced on NESN that he had 3 goals and a helper ,but in the box score it says 2 and 1.

Hitchcock is seriously pissing me off. I really do beleive he is holding his team back from getting into fights. This team really does need to throw down from time to time, they are getting bullied and its pathetic. And its time to vent some frustration.

Well, they aren't the Broad Street Bullys anymore. Maybe we should call them the 11th and Sprucers. Brashear needs to start beating on someone, he only has 2 F'N fighting majors this season. What the hell has he been doing in Frasier's gym?

I havn't seen any games for a couple of weeks but tonight I noticed Brashear has a fukking visor on. Tell me this is because of an injury.

I can't be the only Flyer fan who thinks we need help in net. Chico is playing like sh!t this season. Nitty needs to be given the starting job in my opinion.

p.s.
That puck was in

Brash took a puck to the eye during a game last week. It looked much better tonight so I'd assume it'll be off soon.

First off, welcome back from the cave.
He took a shot off of Mike Richard's stick. 3 stitches, eye swollen shut.
I was thinking the same thing for a while during the Isles game, this team better develop some toughness or they are going to get buried. Ready and Brashear were hitting, but Sim and Handzus took massive hits and nobody did anything.
Write Stevenson off, he'll be hampered by hip injuries all year and never get into the swing of things. Hitch won't allow Brashear to fight at will, and Hatcher doesn't look interested.

How about the cross checking incidents between Desjardins and Asham. After that, Desjardins takes a gloved punch in the face directly in front of Hatcher; Derian just skates on by. Brashear eventually came over but didn't even try to help Rico out...

The lack of leadership allows for incidents like that!! Someone should have stepped in and helped Rico, and Hatcher is RIGHT THERE.
Maybe Hatcher didn't want to upset his buddy Jason Blake, who he went to 32* with along with Mike Rathje. The way Blake plays against us, you can tell he has buddies on the Flyers D.

Any word on if anyone's coming up from the Phantoms to fill in for Ready?

I started my own thread on the Flyers playing like a bunch of girls on the ice, I didn't know you guys were talking about it in here. Seriously, WTF is going on. I've only caught 3 or so games all year so I wasn't too surprised I didn't catch a fight. But to find out they've only had 3 FMs all year is terrible. The Flyers are one of the biggest teams in the league and they play with vaginas out on the ice. I don't know, but has Hatcher even checked anyone all season? Holy hell, the guy used to be a beast on the ice now he just looks like Harry from Harry and the Hendersons and doesn't do anything. I don't even want to start on Therien. Why he is even in the line up is beyond me. I'm sure the Phantoms have someone better to send up because Therien is the slowest, most lethargic thing I have ever seen on the ice. Handzus is another one, he is like 6'5" or something and just looks like Big Bird skating around on the ice. I don't care if they keep winning games, I'm not going to watch them or listen to them play like a bunch of girls the rest of the season. Fire Hitch and somehow hire Bob Hartley.
