Moving Briere to wing?

So this popped up on Facebook yesterday. The Flyers going forward will persumably want Giroux Schenn and Couturier as their 1/2/3 centers. However whilst we have Briere signed do we mpve him to wing where he is less effective to allow Schenn/Couturier to grow or do we keep Schenn out on the wing for another year as we already know he is competent there.

I personally want to see Schenn on the wing mainly because I don't want to see Couturier ending up like Jordan Staal playing third line minutes with third line players and being surroundedby what if's.

I don't know enough about Schenn playing at center/wing however to know if he is wasted at wing but assuming he picks up and enjoys playing on the wing a line with him Couturier and Simmonds could be one hell of a line, packs a scoring punch and would shut down nealry every other line in the league.

Also leaving Briere at center and moving Schenn to wing gives Voracek space to move up lines possibly onto the first with Giroux/Hartnell to replace Jagr.

Obviously these are all just ideas I'm floating around, so what do you guys reckon?

I'd leave Briere at center and let Schenn play the wing for another year or two. Schenn showed he can play there, whereas he hasn't really been given a shot at center. I'm sure he could handle it, but I'd prefer Briere in the middle, especially come playoff time.

briere sucks defensively at center, but if you give him 2 wingers who can help out it shouldnt be too bad. plus, he's a beast around the net in the offensive zone

schenn-briere-simmonds

schenn can take draws when briere gets kicked out of face offs.

We still don't know what type of player Coots is. He may be another Jordan Stall or he may be more of a third line shut down center. I think thats still up for debate, but him centering a third line this years is a good thing, imo.
