LMAO...how did he make us look stupid? He had one decent game
in the last 30? Harts has looked like crap all year long. He finally steps
up and does something good and all is forgiven for mediocrity?
For a guy making 4 mil a year thats not going to cut it.
Harts is a good dude but he gets too many free passes.
He shown in the past he can light the lamp,is it just a bad slump?
Or that famous Flyer disease, inconsistency? A couple of the Flyers
"untouchables" won't have much choice if Fast Eddie drops the hammer
when the team makes a quick exit come playoff time and thats not a given.

Harts definitely dont earn his 4 mil a season, last seasons he has gotten in slumps to but got out of them and really starting to score( remember last season?) Thing i like about Hartnell is that he always shows heart and tries and hes a good guy in the locker room. And in my opinion hes hasn't played well but definitely hasn't looked like crap all year long. Hope this goal turns it around

Anybody else think Hartnell could be the next Flyers captain?

He won't get it, but a player like him is someone I'd like to be a captain. A 100 plus PIM guy putting up 20 plus goals a year. He's a throw back.

I think he is too Loopy to be captain and better left alone to do his own thing.

He is funny and annoying to play against.

30+ goals and 100+ PIMS. Awesome year!

If Jagr and Giroux were feeding you the puck most of the year having
the scoring year like Harts is having isn't out of the question.
Let's face it,he's having a career year,I don't expect him to pot 30
every year. It's about time he's lived up to his outrageous contract.
No,he should not be Captain. Maybe G but thats still to be decided.

Don't get me wrong Giroux and Jagr have a lot to do with sucess of hartnell, but he has been consistent throughout, even when giroux and Jagr missed time. He has done it all this year, tough goals in front of the ne8xt, scoring in the slot on the pp, and he's become quite the finisher on the break away. hartnell deserves everythin he is getting this because he has surely put the work in.

whatever giroux and jagr said to him at the start of the year, it clearly worked. i agree playing w/ 2 superstars is gonna make you better, but hartnell has obviously put in the work this year. he looks faster, stronger and somehow developed an awesome wrister.
