This is the crap that's being reported for tonight! Yuck, I am disgusted.
Thats just stupid. Shelly, McGinn and Sestito played great the other night, the only players that kept me interested in the game.

When are they expecting Briere back?

I saw 2K's and Philly27's posts in the toughest team thread regarding the Flyers lineup and it made me think...barring any further injuries upfront, when Simmonds and Hartnell return, who sits? I agree with 2001 in that I hope it is Fedotenko and Knuble, but reality has me thinking it is going to be Sestito and Fedotenko. Worst case being Sestito and Rinaldo, though I can't see Rinaldo being a healthy scratch at this point. What do you guys think? I know who you WANT to sit, but who do you think will?

I'd sit Fedotenko and I have a feeling Knuble is going to be waived. The best scenario in my opinion is this:

Scott Hartnell - Claude Giroux - Jake Voracek
Wayne Simmonds - Danny Briere - Brayden Schenn
Tye McGinn - Sean Couturier - Matt Read
Tom Sestito - Max Talbot - Zac Rinaldo

That is a complete lineup from top to bottom. Let's see if Laviolette is smart enough to do it when the time comes to drop a couple axes. Hartnell is still at least a couple weeks away, and I haven't heard any news on Simmonds.

I like those combos...I doubt you see Rinny,McGinn and Sestito all in the lineup at the same time once Hartnell and Simmonds are healthy..but I wouldn't argue that lineup..nor would most.

when healthy:

hartnell-giroux-briere
simmonds-schenn-read
vorecheck-couturier-mcginn
sestito-talbot-rinaldo

there is no way lavy plays that 4th line when we're healthy. it will probably look more like

knuble-talbot-fedetenko

sucks.

is anyone out today besides mcginn? meltzer is reporting these are the lines today.

19 Scott Hartnell - 28 Claude Giroux - 93 Jakub Voracek
48 Danny Briere - 10 Brayden Schenn - 17 Wayne Simmonds
12 Simon Gagne - 14 Sean Couturier - 25 Max Talbot
36 Zac Rinaldo - 26 Ruslan Fedotenko - 37 Harry Zolnierczyk

i really like the first 3 lines w/ 2 solid scoring lines and a 3rd checking line. i also think talbot and gagne can help couturier feel more comfortable on the ice. if sestito was in for harry z i would be 100% fine rolling w/ this line up for the rest of the year. unfortunately sestito is in vancouver and we're stuck w/ this idiot on the 4th line. my god i hate this guy.
