i dont think grossmann is hurt. I know mez got medically cleared yesterday, but we will have to see how he responds.

I wouldn't count on Bourdon this season at all. I think he's got Post Concussion syndrome. He was working out today though which is a good sign. Gus hasn't skated in awhile after taking a puck off the foot in a game. But he's working out too today.

Manning is likely to be called up to start the year. Don't forget we got Lilja and Gervais ugh. And they could even theoretically sign Kubina. I don't want those last 3 at all.

Manning was stated to actually have a nameplate/stall already as well. They're high on him. He'll be a good fit. I'm not sure who else they'll give a look to defensively. There's really only 2 other options in my mind. Eddy or Laurisden. Both of which I'm perfectly fine with stepping in as well. Syvret's probably not coming up because he's a leader/captain pretty much of the Phantoms with Holmstrom hurt and he would be subject to waiver stuff I believe. Outside shot is Matt Konan getting a look too.

Offensively, Schenn, Coots, Rinaldo are obvious. Wellwood's been a question mark. He got healthy scratched for a 4 game spell earlier this year. He has responded since though. Lavi loves him and Harry Z unfortunately. Heard Tye Mcginn's gonna get a good look though. He'd be great to have. Ginner is a power forward and can throw really well fighting wise. Think of him as a Simmonds like player. Would love him on the team over Z and Wellwood.

Also, warning you guys right now, I don't know what we're gonna get out of Rinaldo. He's been a pansy in teh AHL all year. Worried on not wanting to be seen as a Goon. Hasn't stood up and fought for teammates in multiple chances of linemates being run. Heck, he tried breaking up a fight one time between a teammate and an opposing player. It was sickening.

Hopefully Sestito and Shelley still play.

take this for what its worth, but some fan on another forum was saying we was rumored to sign kurtis foster as a depth guy on defense. But like i said its prolly bs. As far as lilja goes we all know hes a pylon, but truth be told he played very well in the playoffs for us. I heard manning was struggling bad in the A, but sometimes its takes playing with better guys to perform better. idk much about mcginn, i do know laughton should have every shot to make this team just like cooter. I would personally have mcginn up and rinaldo stay down since he grew a vagina

If this is how Rinaldo is gonna play, he can stay in the AHL. I'm hoping he's just been keeping it low key so he's healthy for the NHL.

If he's not playing like a man gone mad, and hitting as hard as possible what is he contributing? He can **** off if he's changed.

rinaldo has to know he's useless in the nhl unless he's playing on edge. not to hate on the kid, but its not like he's a 4th liner who excels on special teams. he's in the nhl b/c he's a responsible hockey player who brings energy to his team by playing physical and fighting.

id much rather have shelley in the line up then sestito b/c he's a much better fighter. unfortunately i think sestito is probably a much better player than shelley so i'd expect sestito to get the nod over him.

our last D pairing is gonna be ugly. can we trade harry z for deryk englland?

Don't worry about Rinaldo...I'd be willing to wager he's the 1st Flyer to drop the mitts this year..if not that he'll be the 1st Shanaban video of the NHL season.

Now that sending Shelley down would cost money on the cap I suspect Shelley drops to perma-14th this season, which is better than the minors but unfortunately I think Sestito will complete his take over at 13th, which I'd much prefer to happen next year.

I suspect, in a 48 game schedule, barring injuries.

47 games for Rinaldo
25 games for Sestito
15 games for Shelley

I hope it's higher though.

I can't see Rinaldo not getting suspended for 3 at least once but otherwise I'd agree. I'd put Shelley closer to 10 though.

Fitzgerald's on an AHL only contract.

Anyways, Manning's been weird this season. Last year he mixed it up a lot. This year, not much at all. Got owned both times. He is rocking an A though.

You guys would love McGinn. Watch some of his fights. He's tougher than Jamie and a power forward. He wouldn't come to fight only or anything but like I said, he's a poor mans Simmonds. Put him on this team over Wellwood anyday of the week.

Btw, Zolniercyk didn't get invited to camp.
