honestly, if push came to shove i would probably let schenn go for weber. he's just a stud everywhere on the ice, and exactly what this team needs. schenn will most likely be a really good to great player, but weber already is a great player. however, if we are gonna trade any of last years rookies, matt read is #1 on my list. he's not going to get much better at his age, and might never be more valuable to a team in a trade.

im still not giving up schenn for defense. If weber came to philly he would struggle like every other defenseman we got because of the system. It would be ignorant to kill our future to make the move. Now if they wanna change the system up and be more defensive then i would love him here.

pronger actually struggled quite a bit. He was solid his first year, then fell off, coulda been age, but im still not for giving up our soon to be star players over a dman in a system where defense doesnt mean a thing. Its just pointless.

well, w/ schenn and couturier, we have 2 soon to be stars. trading one of them for the best dman in the league seems like a decent idea to me. however, id still try to keep schenn.

im probably in the minority, but i really dont want any parts of parise. outside of a few role players, we are set at forward for years. w/ timonen's age we really dont have a #1 dman, that should be the priority.

I agree, Parise is looking for a payday if he leaves NJ.

Defense is the number one priority this offseason. It all comes down to if Weber and/or Suter want to stay in NSH. If Weber wants out, Holmgren needs to be the highest suitor - bottom line. If not, I am all for temporary plugs like Mark Streit or Barett Jackman.

i could see them signing a plug for a year and waiting for weber to hit his UFA year. neither coburn nor grossmann are #1 dmen, but as a pairing they get the job done. id still like to have a legit #1 dman

We can scratch off Suter and Stewart from the wish list.

i dont want Parise or Garrison.
Hartnell's last contract year right?
I want to resign Sestito, Jagr, Bourdon and Voracek. Definitely agree with the size needed on the blueline.
