Ron Hainsey vs Ryan Malone

Off a face off in the Tampa zone Malone challenges Hainsey for a hit earlier in the game. The shed the lids and have a quick square off. Both guys lock each other out, and can't get much going. Hainsey looks to score a right, and Malone switches to the left and answers back. Neither guy can really get loose, as Hainsey sticks to trying with rights, and Malone switched hands back and forth. Hainsey gets Malone along the boards, both guys are gassed and the linesman come in.

Andrew Ladd vs Victor Hedman Mar 31, 2012 -...

Andrew Ladd vs Victor Hedman

On the Jets PP Blake Wheeler slashed Eric Brewer, and a huge scrum takes place. Ladd challenged Hedman but Hedman declines. Dustin Byfuglien gets in there and stirs it back up. As the linesman are trying to seperate Hedman and Ladd, Ladd fires a straight right and the linesman bails. Ladd fires 5 or 6 rights and rag dolls Hedman as Hedman tries to just hold him off. Ladd lets go and heads to the bench.

Malone-Hainsey looked like a solid draw, both guy seemed to land a couple shots.

And if you want to hear wonderfully biased commentating, watch the replay of the Hedman-Ladd scrap. While Ladd punching Hedman over a linesman isn't exactly the most courageous move in the world, it was from the "definition of a sucker punch" that the commentator was crying about. Win Ladd, not much of a fight once they finally got going.

Ladd gave hedman a pass the first time. Then hedman got stupid and threw a shot at buff. Ladd shouldn't have let up and continue to pound on him

There is no better definition of a sucker punch than that. Jesus. There is nothing biased about it. Moron.

Draw in the first fight.

Since the only punch that lands in the second fight was a cheap shot, cheap win for Ladd.

actually how it went down was Wheeler semi-slashed Brewer (on the stick) then Brewer slashed Wheeler, much harder, then cross checked Wheeler in the back and then cross checked him again, THAT's when Wheeler turned to face him and a scrum ensued..while Ladd was tied up with Hedman and The Fugly One was tied up with someone Hedman decided to go give Fugly a punch to the face..aparently because he had his glove on and was holding his stick it's somehow a "stink glove"..clearly it was a punch..Hedman was talking **** like a giant bitch and got tuned up..then he had to go to the locker room to cry about it..the bull**** part is the Jets got the extra penalty..

Hainsey gets the first fight. His was the only punch to land.

I can't give the second fight to Ladd because his best punches landed while Hedman was in the grasp of the linesman, and a teammate. He could have gone with Hedman when the two were all alone, toe to toe, and he didn't.

Draw in the first one.

Win Ladd. Hedman was involved in the scrum all over the place, but when push came to shove he wanted no part of it. He looked like a fish out of water. Once it was clear that Hedman was not going to even fight back Ladd just stopped and skated away. Kind of weird.

I'm sorry, I forgot that you're never wrong.

I could come up with quite a few better examples of a sucker punch than 2 guys who had been hanging onto each other for a long time staring each other in the face. Was Ladd's decision to finally throw a punch with a linesman in between them cheap? Sure, I'll agree with that, that's what I said. But it wasn't a sucker punch. You must have a different definition of the term than I do.

Hedman has the size and strength to play D, but that does not always equate into being able to take a punch.

He is afraid to take a close fisted punch, and seemingly has 0 punching power. He needs to either take some boxing lessons in the off season, or stop throwing jersey jabs in between linesman, because from time to time people will not care about warnings, like when the season is over for both teams, and kick your ass.

Commentator kept calling it a sucker punch..Ladd asked him to go, Hedman bitched out said no, then gave Buff the ol' face wash..asking for Ladds right.
thumbs up to Ladd for taking his own lid off too.

A sucker punch is when you throw a punch that someone is not expecting/ready for. Cheap shot is also a viable term.

Hedman is NOT a bitch, he's a pu$$y, big difference.

If you're going to be an NHL dman, you're going to get in a fight once in a while, Hedman better learn how.
