Lessard seems to be hit or miss when it comes to what style he uses. Sometimes he's wide open t2t, other teams he hugs the sh*t out of people. It's odd to have such a drastic change in style so randomly.

I agree in his stint with the Blues King was making a good name for himself and then got hit with some injuries. I dont know if that is why he went to **** so quick but something is going on here.

I'm usually not one to start rumors or hypothesize, but do you think that D.J. may have, say, a drinking problem? I know I do so I certainly won't cast any stones but he looks out of it this season. Why would the Caps put him on waivers, and why wasn't he claimed?

Andrew Peters syndrome. Although with Peters you could point to a single event in the Johnson fight (didn't he get beaten badly again the next year by someone too?) that marked his reluctance.. with Lessard I can't pinpoint any one point where he just changed.. but I remember in his younger days I thought he was going to be a monster with the way he would chuck those lefts.

Not really the case...Johnson tagged Peters I believe in his first or second year in the league but I think it was his rookie season... Regardless, Peters was good for several seasons after that...

As far as Lessard goes I am pretty sure he opened up with Rosehill because Rosehill is a journeyman HW and is not considered heavy handed...Lessard used to be a warrior but he seems to have lost his will to stand and bang away with a top guy...It happens to alot of guys...BGL was considered the champ by many and it somewhat happened to him so its not like its a rarity....

Peters was good afterwards, but before the Johnson fight he was a much more open fighter and afterwards he did that duck and chuck bull**** where he lead with JJ's and then tried to throw big rights over his shoulder while keeping his head tucked and out of range. I think Lessard opened up with Rosehill because he wanted to make a statement and keep himself up in the bigs.
