Win Rypien in a very entertaining fight.

Bulltsh*t match penalty, Ryp has had a lingering hand injury all year and had 1 piece of tape going to the underside of his thumb and wrapped back up to his wrist. NO part of his hand that made contact with Cam was tapped, not even close.

Very impressed by Ryp in this scrap, most of you know im one of the biggest Rypien fans going but even i have said in the past i think Cam would be a little over his head but clearly even i one of his biggest fans was proven wrong.

As for the whole Hordi thing, read my sig to know how i feel about Hordi but he clearly challgend Cam the shift before the fight occured and Cam turned Hordi down. Hordi is turning into a joke but tonight he did indeed try to do his job and go with Cam.

Maybe next time Cam will have learnt his lesson and choose Hordi over Ryp

This was not a one sided fight by any means...

Rypien looked to land the better punches, and that coupled with the blood make it seem like Rypien's fight...

But on review that will be debated.

I loved seeing Bam Bam skate off the ice just a tad more reserved this time than after the last time these teams faced off though.

In front of the home fans, many of whom have never heard of Rypien, and likely wondering why the smallest guy on the opposition just sent their fighter off the ice all bloodied...I'm sure Cam is a little embarassed.

I don't care who the fighter is, or what team he plays for. If you show boat after a fight, I look forward to seeing you get your come comeuppance.

Cam, you best get back to fighting Tanner Glass if you want to celebrate after a fight like you just accomplished something significant.

I like your take on the fight....I'm a big Rypien fan but CJ got some good early shots in...unfortunately for Cam Rypien came on strong and got one beauty in near the end. I think that was the punch that did the damage.

On 2nd viewing, this fight was a definite win for Rypien, with or without the blood.
Cam didn't look very good in that fight.

you`re right.....just saw it & it was much closer that led to believe....edge/dec Rypien but Cam had plenty left in the tank with the stripes getting in too early, imo.

Tell me you started your new year's festivities at noon today. That's the only reason I can come up with for some of the asinine statements you made in this thread.

I agree with PM - Rypien clearly landed more punches and Cam is sporting more damage...pretty simple, Win Rypien

Hordichuk definitely challenged Janssen earlier in the game, after a big Janssen hit.

How retarded are you?

The tape on his hand could definitely - no probably - made direct contact with Janssen's face. Ryp was holding Janssen's jersey collar with his taped right hand and was throwing jabs with it throughout the entire fight. His right was pushed and pulled across Janssen's face in every manner.
He cut the player.
His hand was taped.
Penalty.

Who cares if his thumb was hurt? Boo hoo - you think other player's don't have hurt hands?!? You shouldn't tape your hands if you fight. The rule has been one of the most prominent fighting rules on the book for as long as I can remember. There is nothing bullsh*t about it.

Other than that:
Win Rypien. Great fight.

Very solid tilt between two of the best and perhaps the best pound for pound guy out there (rypien). Rypien landed more but it wasnt a lobsided win. Janssen struggled with Rypiens hand speed but stood in there and threw a few bombs that just missed. Stlyles make fights and quite frankly Janssen got to see what it was like to be the BIGGER guy in a fight. It's to bad Rypien got the game because a rematch is inevitable.

* Honestly people do you really think Rypien turned down Asham. I watched the game and at no point did I see any challenges offered. Some say that in between commericial breaks there was one and or behind the play. To me it looked like it was Rypiens house. Asham and Carcillio were pretty quiet.

Are you blind? He had the tape around the back of his thumb, and then on the underside last time i checked you don't puch from your wrist and the inside of your fist. It wasnt even close to being a factor in the fight in any way shpe or from. Hes fought with it tapped like that multiple times and there's never been an issue. The reason is whole hand isnt taped is because of that rule, he has had serious hand problems all year and has missed time because of it. Its not just some soar hand issue.

Oh well, now Cam knows better than to decline Hordi in favor of Ryp. Didn't have any celebration after this one did he?

Real tough when Tanner Glass is the only guy on the ice.

Cam Janssen is no better than Hordi at this point, he declines a guy the same size and class as him to fight a smaller guy and this time it bit him in the a**. Atleast when Hordi does go he fights guys like McGratton and Stortini and doesnt look to fight guys like Crombeen or Jacques cuz he wants an easy win.
