I'd doubt that Rypien has any kind of flu, and instead - suffers from a case of the Alain Vigneault 'tight leash' syndrome.

Asham and Carcillo most defenitly would not be victims of the Rypien flu. Thats just stupidity from my fellow Nucks fans.
Woulda been nice to see Ryp and Asham finally go. Ryp's hand is messed up and wont be getting better this season so were seeing alot more spot picking from him. He has 6 fights this year, but they've been much more timely than weve seen in the past. Hes trying to keep that hand ready for when the team needs him to drop the gloves. O'Brien has just turned into a little girl. Not 1 fight this year, has been benched alot. You think he'd get the message if he really wanted to play and would have gone with Asham. Guy thinks hes more than he is, he will forever be a good #6 Dman at best who needs to fight and play big to be effective. But he has dreams of being Chris Pronger and he needs to get over them or he'll be out of the league at this rate.

Most defenitly, i think Ryp was on a leash with the team being up and hes trying to protect his hand when him fighting isnt necessary. Hes already missed a few games cuz of his hand. Asham asked him to go, but wasnt pushing the issue either.

On a different note, You're assuming that SOB had the green light to scrap? Vigneault probably told guys to not mix it up, as it was a fairly close game. Why provide the opportunity for the other team to get a spark? Not that I'd be upset if there was fireworks - it's just hard to blame SOB as if his sole job was to scrap and he didn't deliver.

Richards/Bieksa - Win Bieksa. Richie should have went with Burrows when
he was asked to dance early in the first. We got a PP but so what, time to drop the gloves with Burrows then and there to set a tone. He tried Bieksa before and the results were pretty much the same, ugly. Pronger/Mitchell - Draw. Crap "fight". Pronger should have opened up and dropped freakin Mitchell. Mitchell can fight somewhat but you could tell he was just gonna hang on and not do too much. B.S. takedown. The time to go was in the first and no one did a damn thing. Pfft.... |

I was at the game just got home . Asham tried to get Rip to go about 7 times behind the play and nothing . Asham even stopped at the Van bench and was talking to him . On one play Asham and Rip were really pushing each other and I thought they were gonna go but they separated and in comes Carcillo with a big shoulder as he passed Rip . Dam I wanted one of them to wip his a$$ !!
