I was wondering about this fight - it seemed like it could have helped sparked the Wild a little as they ended up coming back with 5 unanswered goals soon after the scrap. That fight was all Staubitz until he lost his balance and went down, almost a little too easily there it seemed to me - Volpatti didn't have much time to answer back before it was basically over. Kind of a llame ending, but win to Staubitz, I guess.

Loved seeing Clutterfuk bounce off Volpatti like that though! Nice hit!

Even the Minnesota play-by-play said Volpatti got the knockdown...either both play-by-play are wrong or Staubitz has a weak chin as all Volpatti did was give a quick jersey jab. Win Volpatti!!! To be honest, on first/second/third view I thought it was all Staubitz but very strange ending to the fight...either that punch was more than all of us think or Staubitz bailed or maybe off-balance for all you Wild homers.

I'm calling a draw as it looked like Staubitz was filling Volpatti but KD for AV. Didn't look like a slip.

Ballard disrupts a scoring chance by throwing a glancing hip check on Clutterbuck. Ballard retrieves the puck and gets it out of the zone. Clutterbuck gets another hit added to his subjective totals but Ballard throws another hip on him. Clutterbuck goes arse-over-tea kettle. Doesn't like the way KB4 stands over him. Lappy comes in then Brodziak jumps KB4 and tackles him to the ground. Clutterbuck goes into the Canucks bench, swings and destroys the linesman. Hamhuis restrains Clutterbuck from the bench and gets tossed. Lappy and CLutterbuck tossed as well. No fighting majors but the punch certainly worthy of front page consideration.

Clutterbuck doesn't go into the bench. Lapussier tries to throw him into the bench 2x by grabbing Clusterfukc's legs ala Fulton Reed in Mighty Ducks 1. As for the linesman, he's got a tougher nose/chin than Matt Bradley and Craig Adams.

There was no KD for Volpatti. If anything he may have gotten him with a WWF style "eye gouge" or "face rake" but definitely didn't drop him with a punch. Win Staubitz.

The cameras got there late and from what I saw Staubitz was throwing most of the punches but even the Minnesota announcers said Volpatti got the Knockdown but I didnt see the punch well enough so win Staubitz.

Crappy fight though
