Haha! Hockeydb lists him at 6'0 253.

I caught a glimpse of a clip on Snet Pacific but just the very end, it looked like he was turtling.

Thrill about summed it up...

I think the Canuck he hit was Jaffray...

Souray just didn't want to fight - not after last year's injury, and especially not in the preseason for a totally clean hit...

Props to Labrie for not throwing though - good move.

Maybe there is hope in Edmonton? Finally, a guy in charge who doesn't believe Lennart Petrell is a legitimate roster player.

I thought that was a rather weak move by Souray. I guarantee you if an Oiler was hit like that Souray wouldn't hesitate to jump in to defend his teammate.

I understand what you are saying... but two things to keep in mind...

#1 - the hit was totally, absolutely clean

#2 - this was the guy's FIRST game back after season ending shoulder surgery - why fight a non-NHL player for a TOTALLY clean hit in that circumstance...

But yes - point taken. Had that been a hit on Hemmer, Souray would have been the first one there (unless Benson beat him to it! )

I'm well aware of that. But regardless of whether the hit was clean or not (and I agree it was clean) you have to expect a response from the opposing team after that. And as I said earlier even if a Canuck threw a clean hit like that I'm sure Souray would make an effort to address the situation.

Either way not a real big deal. I just wanted to express my feelings on the matter.
