Dale Weise vs Brandon Bollig Feb 19, 2013 -...

Dale Weise vs Brandon Bollig

Weise lays out Marcus Kruger along the boards with a big hit. Bollig is standing there and as soon as Weise gets up, he grabs him and starts trying to punch him. Weise finally gets the gloves off and away they went. Bollig started with the lefts while Weise started with the rights. Weise looked to land a couple decent shots on Bollig, with Bollig landing maybe one or two. No real damage by either.

Edge Weise

call it a draw because edges are dumb. would have loved to see Bollig destroy him, but i'm glad he did something. textbook enforcing.

*EDIT*

however, if i gave edges, i'd give it to Weise.

Dale Weise vs Brandon Bollig

Initial replay showed Bollig landing the first few, Weise landed a few, then Bollig
Until I see the vid.

Edge Bollig

Bollig got the jump and landed a quick one, Weise answered back with a couple which looked to connect pretty good and clear, then Bollig lands a grazing shot as Weise was off balance.

I'm going Edge Weise.

Hahahaha, Bollig does to Weise what Staubitz did to Bickell a few games back, and instead of chastising Bollig like he did to Staubitz, Eddie Olczyk praises him.

Oh and I guess draw in the fight.

First fight I've posted about in nearly a year....

Thought it was a draw myself, but what a hit by Weise. Not sure what took him so long to shed the mitts, he let Bollig have a free shot at him to start things off, but he came back pretty good and Bollig looked to even things up again near the end of the scrap. The Vancouver radio feed made it sound as if Bollig suckered Weise at the start, but to me it looked like Bollig gave him ample opportunity to raise the dukes and defend himself - he had to know what was coming after a hit like that.

This game has more action in 15 minutes that the entire game combined the last time these 2 teams met....

Dale Weise vs Brandon Bollig:

Weise absolutely destroys Marcus Kruger with a hit along the boards and Bollig is right in the area and isn't impressed. Bollig isn't waiting and as soon as Weise gets off the ice, he starts throwing lefts, landing at least one hard shot. Weise realizing that Bollig isn't letting up, finally gets his gloves off and away we go... Weise is firing rights and Bollig lefts and it's toe to toe action, Weise throws about 7 rapid fire and looks to land 4 beauties while Bollig throws 3 lefts, two which hit the side of Weise's helmet. They get up along the boards and grapple a bit, and each guy looks to land one more shot then Bollig lands a left and Weise loses his balance and goes to the ice. Quick vicious fight, probably a draw, maybe edge to Weise.

After looking at the replay, the uppercut I thought Bollig landed early in the fight(11 sec. mark) appeared to miss.

Draw.
