Rinaldo handled him in good fashion. I'm just mad he didn't lay one more into him.

B.J is fitting for a guy who spends his time on his knees.

Lucky for zac that TB has a team full of pu$$ies...but that's besides the point.
YA and you are making an idiot of yourself .

Crombeen asked Zac to go , Zac finished the job , that is the bottom line !!!

You think their is a violation of the so called code , well I have news for you "THEIR IS NO CODE < NEVER HAS BEEN !!!!! .

Continually mentioning my name in every thread that I post in is giving me attention...dummy. Not to mention it's actually pretty creepy. I think you need a new hobby besides stalking my posts.

Clear Win Rinaldo. The video of him talking to the ref and Labrie showed that he didn't intend to hit him on the way down, but I am not sold, nor can you really expect a guy to instantly turn it off when you get that amped up.

I think Labrie should have forced the issue instead of asking to dance. That's his job.

Times change man, that's how it goes. Get a bottle of vaseline and go watch your Dave Brown fight tapes.
My post had nothing to do with the opinion of whether the punches were late or not.

It had everything to do with your pussified attitude that because its 2013 it is too rough.

Times do change......... but the grass is not always greener.

All Rinaldo,
Win Lecavalier. Nice too when a tough guy (Sestito) has a 2 goal game.

Yeah, its all a conspiracy. There's no code...no professional hockey player, past or present, has ever mentioned it.

Get a life. If you're OK with zac's dirty punch, that's completely fine. But don't go making up your own reality. That's idiotic.

"They always play a hard physical game and we're trying to establish that we do that, too," Crombeen said. "We're a big team, we play hard and we're willing to stand up for ourselves any time. When two teams like that meet, there's going to be some physicality and some bad blood that grows over time."

Crombeen — as a "precaution" coach Guy Boucher said — was held out of the rest of the game and Lightning right wing Pierre-Cedric Labrie said he warned Rinaldo.

"He was telling me it was fair and (Crombeen) was not going down," Labrie said. "I told him to keep his head up because I'll be coming for you but we didn't match up after that. … One day."

Besides it was the apparent late punches that were the issue.

"I hit him until he was down," Rinaldo said. "I'll never hit someone when they're down. I hit him until he was down and made sure he was down and that was it."

Rinaldo said he got confirmation from referee Kelly Southerland the punches came before Crombeen fell.

So, was it dirty?

"I'm not going to say that," Crombeen said. "I always fought by that if a guy is in a bad position you stop throwing. But guys fight different ways. I'm not going to say if it was dirty or not. You're fighting. You put yourself in that situation and you know the consequences."

Lecavalier didn't admit it but his late punch on Talbot certainly was payback.

"It just happened," Lecavalier said.

Good thing Vinny was throwing pillow punches rather than bombs or it would have been a bigger deal, amiright?

Who is Labrie kidding? He had all game to do something about it. One day....you'll be back in the AHL.

That's what I mean , Ross Bernstein has never has skates on in his life , yet you believe every word he wrote , it's a book of "FICTION" for phuck sakes ..

PS :: Sorry I forgot , Ross was a walk on at the University of Minnisota and was cut , he could not skate well enough to even make a university team ..

PHILADELPHIA — When Lightning RW B.J. Crombeen went off the ice after his first-period fight with Zac Rinaldo, he was put through an NHL-mandated protocol that looks for concussion symptoms.

Crombeen was brought to a quiet area and put through "a battery of tests," head athletic trainer Tommy Mulligan said, that included simple questions about where he was and what just happened to him, and more complicated tasks such as remembering word sequences.

He also was put through physical tests — on the stationary bike, pushups, situps — to see his reaction to an increased heart rate. Despite Mulligan saying Crombeen "did well with that" and showed no symptoms, the decision was made to keep him out of the game.

"He wanted to go back but I decided not to put him back," coach Guy Boucher said.

Added Mulligan: "We wanted to make sure he didn't have any lingering issues. Sometimes symptoms don't set in until after the fact."

Crombeen said he feels fine.

"I was a bit wobbly when I went to get up," Crombeen said. "It was probably better to play it safe than sorry to make sure no symptoms come up and I'm ready to go for the next game."

CAPTAIN RESPONDS: Before the season, Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier had not had a fight since Feb. 3, 2009. But he has now fought twice in nine games — Jan. 27 against the Flyers' Luke Schenn and Tuesday against Max Talbot.

"I don't know what to say. It just happened," said Lecavalier, who now has 23 fights, including playoffs, in his NHL career. "It just happened at the faceoff and that was it."

Asked if the punch with which he hit Talbot after Talbot was down had anything to do with Rinaldo apparently hitting Crombeen twice when he was on his knees, Lecavalier said he didn't see Crombeen's fight.

"The refs were in my way. I didn't see what was going on."
