Here you go, ladies. What Rinaldo did was NOT THIS:

Brown vs. Kyte

All I'm saying is that WHAT IF, Scott kept Thornton from dropping (because he did get KD) and popped him a couple of more times instead of easing him down or if Asham did the same to Beagle. Would you have a problem with that?
Who cares about any of that? Did those things happen? No, so what is your point? How about WHAT IF Rinaldo held up Crombeen when Crombeen was knocked out and kept throwing? Any what if scenario you can dream up is pointless to bring up, because none of it happened. Quit trying to bait people into giving you the answers you want, because no one is going to give them to you.

KO win Rinaldo. No late punches thrown. Great fight. End of story.

Nothing can compare to the DESTRUCTION Carcillo put on Thornton. Thornton wished he was fighting John Scott that day.

There you go, keep living in the past.

Listen, I'm sorry I insulted your butt buddy ronaldo. I'm sure he's a decent guy and he's never punched you in the face while you're on your knees in front of him.

Thanks for posting that but the "New Nhl" Bettmanites probably covered their eyes.

The code is unwritten rules between players and sometimes they skirt the edge of what's acceptable and what's not.

I still haven't seen the Vinny/Talbot fight but Vinny apparently hit him while down too, an eye for an eye, if you will. Doesn't make it right, it just means there is bad blood between the teams and that will make it more entertaining down the road for us but they don't play again until March.

The video above is Brownie blasting Kyte and further cemented Brown's reputation as a goon, he already was but he also retired as one of the game's most respected enforcers, both feared and admired because he was very fair as a fighter later in his career.

Also, times were different in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's, the "code" has changed over the years, when guys were basically hired guns who only fought each other every 3rd game and started making a lot of money, things were much more spontaneous before then and some of the games all time best tough guys like Nystrom, Clark, Schultz, and others didn't have a code to speak of, they'd go bananas and throw until they couldn't throw any more.

This isn't a Philadelphia thing either, leave it to Bruins29 to stir the pot, this could have happened in any game, Rinaldo isn't a bad guy. It would be cool if some of you understood hockey and the circumstances better.

The rivalry heats up, that is a GOOD thing, I think it's the Lightning's turn to respond, too bad it didn't happen last night unless you think Vinny whacking Maxi Pad while he was down was THE response. LOL If it was, that's lame.

I'm calling it like it is. What rinaldo did was dirty. If Crombeen was the one who threw that punch, you'd be pissed about it. This isn't 1985 anymore...guys don't go around slamming each other's heads off the ice. For 2013, that was over the top. You know TB will be rinaldo hunting in the next matchup. Lucky for zac that TB has a team full of pu$$ies...but that's besides the point.

KO win Rinaldo, scumbag move to keep punching while Crombeen was already out. WTF is that?

Lecavalier vs Talbot looks like a draw to me, not much landing except one punch from Vinny while Talbot is down. Retribution for the earlier fight.

The game would be much better if it was 1985 again.

and no one slammed anyone's head on the ice.

Your mentality of its "2013" and its over the top is sickening. Other Bruins fans are shameful to have you root for the same team and I am troubled to have you a part of this site with that attitude.

Haha...get over yourself. Your opinion is not the be all, end all. Plenty of people have said that punch was dirty, not just me. If you're too blind to see it because the guy on your team is the one who did it, so be it.

Times change man, that's how it goes. Get a bottle of vaseline and go watch your Dave Brown fight tapes.

Ignoring that this fight was a direct result of Crombeen's actions towards Giroux in a prior game...some people feel it is a 'scumbag' move to hit someone while they are on a knee. That view is new to me, but I guess I'm just behind the times.

Also, I'll say it again in this thread, why are people still giving Bruins29 attention?

Completely different situation Beagle went down like a sack of spuds there would be no holding him up same with Thornton Crombeen was half up half down and trying to get back up. Next time should Rinaldo let him get back up and have a free punch?
